When kids try to understand and make sense of the grown-up world, hilarity often ensues – it’s not easy to understand complicated things and situations. This is one such story.
Emma the English teacher asked her third grade students to name things that end with “tor” that eat other things.
Ethan raised his hand and said “Alligator!”
“Very good, that’s a big word and it does eat things. Anyone else?”
Lisa said, “Predator!”
“Yes, that’s another big word. Well done.”
Little Michael raised his hand and said, “Vibrator!”
After nearly falling off her chair, the teacher said, “That’s a big word, but it doesn’t eat anything.”
“Well, my aunt has one and she says it eats batteries like there’s no tomorrow!”
