A good friend of mine sent me this story a couple of days ago. I loved it, and so did my coworkers when I told it at lunch. Read it for yourself, and if you liked it, then make sure to tell it to someone else this weekend!
Mary, a 72 year old lady from Boston, went to a doctor in New York City for her yearly physical.
As she enters the examining room, she meets a young and attractive nurse who asks some basic questions.
“Okay, let’s get started. How much do you weigh?” the nurse asks.
“115,” Mary replies.
The nurse puts her on the scale. The nurse looks at the numbers on the scale, notes them down down on her chart and says, “All right, 140 lbs.”
The nurse then asks, “How tall are you, ma’am?”
“I’m 5 foot 8,” Mary replies, slightly frowning.
The nurse instructs her to stand next to a measuring stick by the wall, and then notes down the result and says, “Okay, looks like 5’5″.”
She then takes Mary’s blood pressure. After seeing the result, the nurse says, “Oh my, it looks like you have high blood pressure!”
“Of course it’s high!” Mary yells. “When I came in here I was tall and slender! Now I’m short and fat!”
With those words, Mary grabbed her coat and went back to Boston where people know how to behave!
